Your Individual Cake Creation
Each cake is lovingly home baked and created from high quality ingredients including free range eggs, and Buttercream made from real butter - all this to ensure that your cake tastes as good as it looks.
Rich Fruit Cake/Light Fruit Cake
My fruit cakes are made using a family recipe and slow baked to ensure they are really moist. They are then laced with Brandy. For the optimum taste these fruit cakes are best left to mature 2-3 months.
The chocolate cake is a fantastically rich moist chocolatey cake which is really rich, dark and scrummy!
The sponge is a Madeira cake which has vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam. This can be turned into a Lemon or Orange cake with zest and then instead of jam, lemon curd or marmalade is used.
Carrot cake is also popular and my lovely recipe originally came courtesy of Nigella Lawson, but with a couple of changes I feel I have made it even better! This has a cream cheese butter frosting instead of buttercream.

The size of your cake will be worked out by the number of portions you require. I’m happy to work this out for you - you just need to let me know how many portions you need.
I can design your cake for you based on ideas you have or you can design your own. It’s up to you how much input you have.
If you haven’t a clue where to start in terms of ideas, perhaps look through the website, and I have a selection of magazines and books which are a great source of inspiration which you are welcome to come and browse through. From this you will probably begin to see types of designs that you like. These can then be adapted as you wish. Sometimes inspiration can come of other sources, such as a favourite hobby, greeting cards or invitations, colour schemes, flower bouquets, dress material – really anything to do with the individual/s and the celebration day.
Ordering your cake
It’s best to order your cake as soon as you know you will want one – this is mainly to reserve the time in my diary. I can only take a certain number of orders to ensure I have enough time to dedicate to each. I take a 30% deposit on orders at the time of booking, and then the rest is payable either by cheque 4 weeks prior to collection or can be paid in cash when you come.
You are welcome to collect in person and we will arrange a mutually convenient time. I can deliver but there will be a charge for this depending on location.
